X eats 40% CPU while PS:T is loading - quite consistent number, and so is 6 minutes loading time. It happens when the game is starting and also when I press Alt-F4 in game and it tries to pop Windows dialogue for quit confirmation. Log attached. Loading times between areas are normal, so are saving/loading games. If the game used to work with previous Wine versions, please perform a regression test: http://wiki.winehq.org/RegressionTesting/
What video card and driver are you using? I can't reproduce the problem with the GOG.com version of the game. Tested with Wine 1.5.8 on Fedora 17 (32 bit), Nvidia gfx card with the proprietary driver 295.59.
xf86-video-intel 2.19.0 on ArchLinux (64 bit).
