All the settings are the same as before e.g. selected driver: winepulse.drv, Output device: (System default), Speaker configuration: Stereo. Reverting commit 21fb3555ed1f26e46d4c82cb2ec8fc29f730a0e9 fixes the problem for me. I think I understand the problem: in 21fb3555ed1f26e46d4c82cb2ec8fc29f730a0e9 inadvertently removed support for wave formats different from PCM and float.
