With wine 1.1.27 game works out of the box after applying latest patch.

Does the game work without patch applied?
Patch 1.03 (and later) add support for removing in-game videos. Then the bug is not fixed.
the bug _IS_ fixed as this bug report is about the game lock that occurs after loading first level (more specifically, at 93% of first level loading) this bug report is not about cinematics not playing in game.
