You have to "cd back" so cd .., to the directory where the configuration file is, and start the app from there. Sigh... it is not working for me :~ I tried re-install it and did what you told me Still the two messages... maybe my Tecplot 360 is an old version (not 2008)??
I am trying to run Tecplot 9.0 and I get the same error messages as above. Nothing previously posted worked. Louis, It's the same error message than opened this post: It shows a warning, "Configuration file is missing. Using factory defaults." I click OK, then a error message say "Cannot find font input file" from which folder you want to get list using "ls -al" is it from ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Tec90/ or ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Tec90/Bin/ Attached is the file with the output for both folders. I see you have Tecplot 360 running well. Mine is still v9.0 as Tecplot is way too expensive I stick to the old version bought long time ago. Hi, yes I did all that including wine Bin/tecplot.exe (Bin and not bin in my installation). I guess Tecplot files are properly installed in Wine as the Tecplot logo appears (such as in Windows) but then those errors appear in two consecutive Windows-message-type boxes (1st a warning, 2nd is an error) and cancels everything. Wine does not work very well with Composite. Could you try disable it, and try again?
Thanks a lot. It works. There is a problem still with the fonts and an error message appears starting tecplot. I attached a screenshot file. When I use fonts in tecplot they look horrible and the actual font types can't be loaded Maybe I am missing something like a font package? However this bug is about the first issue, and that looks like a bug in msvcrt.
