Nestopia is an open source Nintendo NES emulator.

My system is an x86 PC running Ubuntu 8.04. Nestopia 1.40 works mostly okay
normally. However, if a USB gamepad is connected it crashes/fails to start
(i.e. the program aborts before opening its window), with console output like
this:

(The fixme lines also appear when running Nestopia with no gamepad).

If I then unplug the USB gamepad and do "wine nestopia.exe" again, it runs as
normal. Attached is the compressed output from "WINEDEBUG=+relay wine
nestopia.exe". The gamepad in question works with other Linux programs and in
Windows.
