@jnewman raised server side concerns about redundantly querying and storing
Bugzilla version per user session.

A quick fix patch is currently in place to resolve the 500 error, but a better
solution that queries and caches the Bugzilla versions server-wide and shared
between user sessions was requested as a more optimal solution.
