Trying to start a call fails, with skype displaying this status in red: "problem with playback device". Strangely, there seems to be a workaround - click the call button just after skype is started, then it usually succeeds. You have to file a bug report there. As a workaround you can play some music at the background and then it won't complain. The bug is most easily found in dlls/dsound/tests by running the 'dsound' test. (wine dsound_test.exe.so dsound) it will fail with 'device busy'.
