Install the demo, decline native directx. Start the game, click on options.
There is no text.

Terminal shows it, however:
fixme:d3dx:ID3DXFontImpl_DrawTextW iface 0x172928, sprite 0x171368, string
L"Music Volume", count -1, rect (11,108)-(191,131), format 0x6, color
0xfe000000 stub!

etc.
