[Bug 21411] New: Install problem with WindowsXP-Windows2000-Script56-KB917344-x86-enu.exe
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21411 Summary: Install problem with WindowsXP-Windows2000-Script56-KB917344-x86-enu.exe Product: Wine Version: 1.1.36 Platform: x86 URL: http://www.secureneterm.com OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: support(a)securenetterm.com There is something wrong in Wine 1.1.36 as it relates to the Microsoft VBScript installation. It appears to install correctly (no error and success message is shown) however if you use explorer.exe to double click on a valid .vbs file, the following message from Windows Script Host is displayed: Can't find script engine for script "C:\temp\secure.vbs" When my application tries to load the VBScript engine, it also fails with the message: Script Engine VBScript is not installed Note that the above Microsoft VBScript install module installs and works properly on Wine version 1.0.1-1. I am testing on a Redhat Entrprise 5 x86_64 system. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Just reporting the problem. Do with it as you want. The Redhat Add/remove software has no idea what git is. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21411 --- Comment #3 from Wylda <wylda(a)volny.cz> 2010-04-29 15:48:53 --- Created an attachment (id=27621) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=27621) VBS example This took me while, because no example attached. So i first had to became a "VBS programmer ;-)" I can't confirm this bug report. To be sure i do it correctly under wine-1.1.36: * winetricks wsh56 * wine start hello_world.vbs <-- **WORKS** * wine explorer.exe <-- than click on attached hello_world.vbs **WORKS** If i did everything right, i don't see a problem here. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

I tried with the current release of WINE and it also works. So perhaps it was some type of registry conflict I had. I now install directly using the Microsoft installer for VBScript and don't have any problems. Probably should close this problem report. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
