PowerPoint 2007 don't want to start. I get next messagebox "PowerpPoint kan
niet in veilige modus worden gestart. Wilt u Analyse en herstel starten"

Did you set the override for riched20? If not, this is a duplicate of bug
14980.

WINE 1.3.7

a couple days ago, after installing the latest updates via the operating
systems update manager, Powerpoint stopped working. 

It had worked fine prior to this update, with the default setting of Windows 7.
 I confirmed that riched20.dll override was still in effect, which it was.  

I changed the default  Windows version to XP for Powerpoint, and it started
working again.  

Apparently, the latest update breaks Powerpoint 2007 in Windows version 7.

This bug was filed for 1.2.1, so it can't be the same problem. Run a regression
test and file a bug for the problem you're seeing.

You're right, I didn't notice the version number.  Sorry about that.

I'll file one for 1.3.7.  It does appear to be a regression issue, since it
worked fine for me with the same settings in the previous version.

No response from OR in 9 months. This is very likely a duplicate of bug 14980.
I'm marking it as such; reopen if the problem persists even with an override
for riched20 and you can provide the requested log.
