[Bug 1946] build from CVS fails on Mandrake 9.2 - broken pipe / bison / flex (Mandrake 9.2 linux 2.4.22-10mdk)

I don't get it, I compile almost dayly (some days there are no commits :( ) 
with Mandrake 9.2 as well  
[hatky(a)n hatky]$ bison --version 
bison (GNU Bison) 1.875 
 
[hatky(a)n hatky]$ flex --version 
flex version 2.5.4 
 
and get no error...
