Menu shadows are completely black, but they should be transparent. Attachment shows that better. I tried many wine versions since 0.9.49 till 1.2-rc3, but it probably never worked correctly. Even in old wine version, which definitely didn't work as noted in comment 6 and 7. But i upgraded to Debian Stretch. Thus it would make this invalid, as problem is not in wine. I tested on Manjaro with a 32bit prefix in winxp mode. Can anyone still reproduce this?
