[Bug 13142] New: NexusTK crashes when editing a board post
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13142 Summary: NexusTK crashes when editing a board post Product: Wine Version: 1.0-rc1 Platform: PC-x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: ninja(a)slaphack.com Nexus TK (download from http://nexustk.com/, AppDB entry is http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=926) crashes when editing a board post. It is possible to type the post without problems. As far as I can tell, the problem occurs when doing something other than continuing to type, or pasting -- most recently, I attempted to hilight some text, and crash. By "crash", I mean the game (running in a 1024x768 desktop window) stops responding entirely, and the log seems to indicate that some process died. Note: Nexus works flawlessly with version 0.9.40 -- it has no bugs that Nexus itself doesn't when running under Windows, and, in fact, is often more stable than on Windows. I'll add regression tests and logs soon... The game is otherwise usable, as far as I can tell. For now, I will compose in a separate window, and paste into Nexus. Every version I have tried since 0.9.40 has had problems. I believe the game would not even run until 0.9.62, and this bug does happen in 1.0-rc1. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13142 --- Comment #2 from Austin English <austinenglish(a)gmail.com> 2008-11-12 14:26:58 --- Is this still an issue in current (1.1.8 or newer) wine? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13142 --- Comment #3 from David Masover <ninja(a)slaphack.com> 2009-03-30 06:31:51 --- I can confirm it is still broken with 1.0.1 (stock Ubuntu). I'll test the new version later. The game has also been updated to support running in a window by default, resolution still fixed to 1024x768. However, there is no difference between running it in windowed mode, or running it fullscreen in a Wine desktop window. As for the bug itself, it seems to be entirely about a click in the edit box. I can use shift+arrows to select test, and ctrl+c/ctrl+x/ctrl+v work as expected with the clipboard. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13142 --- Comment #5 from David Masover <ninja(a)slaphack.com> 2010-05-10 22:46:23 --- Seems to be an issue with the 1.2 included with Ubuntu Lucid. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13142 --- Comment #9 from Rance <rancesr(a)hotmail.com> --- Created attachment 51817 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=51817 The program works fine unless you click on the messaging system The way I have been getting around this is to not use the mouse at all to get to the text box that I want to edit or enter a new message. If I ever click on the text box for a new message or even at the login point and click on the box for either user name or password wine crashes. I have a backtrace.txt sent with this. Would be nice to have this fixed. This is the only thing keeping this program from working perfectly. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. I dont remember how the program looked before, but I cant even see login details. Now it opens a gui and pretty much instantly wants to update itself and its unable to do so. So is this new wine bug or are the servers down/dead? wine 1.9.9 -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
