Probably a problem with missing environmentsettings, i tested this app a few weeks ago. Try this: export ALLUSERSPROFILE="c:\\windows\\profiles\\All Users" Then try run the application again -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11058 --- Comment #5 from Kevin K <kkutzko(a)teksavvy.com> 2008-03-25 10:59:06 --- The demo is what I'm using to test. I have the 6 demo and latest (7.0.2) demo. As soon as its done compiling, I will try the environment variable and attach output. FYI, The export environment variable was suggested quite a long time ago to no avail. I'm using Freebsd 6.2 btw, but similar problems are happening w/ linux. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11058 --- Comment #6 from Lei Zhang <thestig(a)google.com> 2008-03-25 11:00:23 --- I did a quick search and several people tried to submit a patch for ALLUSERSPROFILE, but none made it in. Anyone remember what the issue was? Should such a patch go in wine.inf or in shell32? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

I tried a couple months ago, putting it in wine.inf: http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-devel/2007-December/061053.html but Alexandre wanted it in shell32. I found a different e-mail a while back that said put it in wine.inf, and not shell32 :-/. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11058 --- Comment #8 from Kevin K <kkutzko(a)teksavvy.com> 2008-03-25 12:05:14 --- FYI, you can install ableton for "Only Me", instead of "All Users". Dont know if this would make a difference. I am completing the install right now (wine 0.9.58 / ableton 7.0.1 , freebsd 6.3). I will attach the output shortly. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Austin, which email said to put it in wine.inf instead of shell32? Did Alexandre write both emails? An older e-mail I had found when trying to see which he wanted: http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-devel/2005-March/035012.html -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11058 --- Comment #11 from Alexandre Julliard <julliard(a)winehq.org> 2008-03-25 17:34:36 --- It probably needs to be in shell32 since there is apparently no exported dirid for it. The important thing is that it must be localizable, that's why it can't be hardcoded to "All Users" in wine.inf. Currently it's not handled quite right in shell32 either, so that would probably have to be fixed first. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11058 --- Comment #12 from Louis Lenders <xerox_xerox2000(a)yahoo.co.uk> 2008-05-06 11:22:10 --- Kevin, the environmentvariable ALLUSERSPROFILE is set in current git now by a fix from Alexandre. I tested this app a few times some time ago, and it always started for me after setting this environment variable. Could you please retry in current git or if that's not possible the next wine-release? If it still crashes then, i guess it must be some FreeBSD-specific problem. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11058 --- Comment #13 from Kevin K <kkutzko(a)teksavvy.com> 2008-05-06 11:29:39 --- It works for me after making the setenv ALLUSERSPROFILE adjustment. There are unrelated issues with respect to window behavior after the software runs, which I may submit as a new bug. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

As for the rest of the bugs, there was an initial window that didn't refresh, in which you had to accept soemthing. I figured out this was ddraw bug, so it might be useful to add a +ddraw trace to the new bug, if you're going to open it anyway *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 8125 *** -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
