This is a bug in fontconfig and was fixed in (fontconfig) CVS today (post 
2.3.94).


Get fontconfig CVS using

"cvs -d :pserver:anonymous(a)cvs.freedesktop.org:/cvs/fontconfig co 
-rfc-2_4_branch fontconfig".
