[Bug 15715] New: Kult Heretic Kingdoms returns unhandled page fault
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15715 Summary: Kult Heretic Kingdoms returns unhandled page fault Product: Wine Version: 1.1.6 Platform: Other OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: xtreme984(a)gmail.com Created an attachment (id=16800) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=16800) error log from trying to run Kult.exe I've installed Kult Heretic Kingdoms on Wine and applied an upgrade patch, it won't work with or without the patch. Before this it said mfc42.dll was missing, so I added it from a windows install and went right ahead trying to run the game, each and every time I get an unhandled page fault. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Is this still an issue in current (1.1.20 or newer) wine?
I'll give it a go, just installed Wine 1.1.20 on my desktop. I removed all occurances of my Kult setup in the past, so there's nothing to interfere with a new setup, I'll post back once I know more. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

There is a flood of d3d stuff but I always think they are deficiencies from the intel card. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

The installer hangs in wine 1.5.28, it's not possible to test again by now.
In that case, can you please create a new bug for this issue (if it still happens with 1.5.30 or later), and make that bug a dependency of this bug ? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15715 --- Comment #12 from Bruno Jesus <00cpxxx(a)gmail.com> 2013-05-27 20:13:14 CDT --- I no longer have the installer issue. The game launches correctly now, it displays the introduction and I'm able to create a character and start the game but it's so slow in my intel board I can't test correctly... Can anyone with nvidia/ati retest, please? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15715 Austin English <austinenglish(a)gmail.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution| |WORKSFORME --- Comment #13 from Austin English <austinenglish(a)gmail.com> 2013-05-28 18:01:02 CDT --- I don't get a crash in 1.5.31, 1.4 or 1.2 (with nvidia). However, once a new game is started, clicking 'continue' after the first dialog hangs the game and CPU usage for the game goes to 100% (X also eats a lot of cpu). The terminal shows a flood of: fixme:d3d:state_zenable W buffer is not well handled before this. That's a separate bug, this one should probably be WORKSFORME (unless someone has the full game and can see the same problem). -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
