this worked in 0.9.10, but hasn't since. The app complains "Method '~' of object
'~' failed in MDIForm1:MDIForm_Load", and has this on the console:

This is with native oleaut32.

With builtin oleaut32, it complains "Automation Error" in the same function, and
on the console:
