If you press okay or wait long enough, Word Pro start and works correctly. Please see attachment for error message. That does not come with wine. This dates back a long, long time ago when I was trying to get Win DVD to work in Wine. Wine 1.1.20 must have broken it. (I current use Linux VLC 0.9.9). I do not even have the installs for WinDVD anymore. Anyway, I erased (moved it out of wine) regi.sys and happy camping has returned. Thank you all for helping me find this. Fix action was to remove regi.sys.
