This is broken for a couple of new versions of Wine. In the past this worked correctly. The steps to reproduce: log: * start application until "bug01" appears * press "change" * see screen "bug02". "Look in" and "folder name" are incorrect, The message "err:msi:msi_dialog_onkillfocus Invalid path L"_BrowseProperty"" showing up in the wine log everytime i give/loose focus of the screen * i press "cancel" * see screen "bug01" again * press "change" again. Now i see screen "bug03". I change the "C:" in "D:". (made a copy of the file at certain points. Please tell me if this is useful for debugging). I used this version: root(a)laptop:~# dpkg -i wine1.3_1.3.22-0ubuntu1~ppa1~natty1_amd64.deb I now actually notice that this version show "screen04" correctly (thus: "D:\Program Files\..." etc and "this game requires 8.1 GB of free disk space"). So there is another regression. Try to find it tonight. Should i file it as a separate bug, or is it so closely related that i can add it here? If you use default "c:\BioEdit" it will simply put all files in the folder where you started installer from. If you try to fix this manually by clicking "change" in Destination Folder dialog and editing the path + OK you get a crash. I tried to run it with 5e37c1a2b77cc40a1b7f896da65b57b4baa13390^ aka right before the regression commit and I still get this: err:msi:ITERATE_Actions Execution halted, action L"GetSetInstallMode" returned 1603 but now followed by tons of stuff similar to this: err:msi:ACTION_RemoveFiles removing installed file L"C:\\windows\\system32\\asycfilt.dll" optgraph.dll is still the only file installed but I'm left with some more directories now. Anyway, it is up for the OP aka MisterE to confirm if this bug is fixed for him.
