There seems to be a problem with your system setup, you need to install the 32 bit packages of your video card drivers. Other games like wow and terraria work though. I have the multiarch versions of those packages installed and with those the other games work. Tried installing the IA32 versions and had to remove some of the i386 packages and that just broke everything. Reinstalled the i386 packages and those other games started working again.
