Ok, but still won't work if path contains spaces (do you have any idea why would
that be?).

Btw, I just noticed the reason why the game behaves like this: Rings.exe is
shipped in the CD version, and if user runs it directly from CD without
installing, it'll just exit.  I'd expect that other games do something similar.
