[Bug 21075] New: mouse doesn-t work in Modern Warfare 2
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21075 Summary: mouse doesn-t work in Modern Warfare 2 Product: Wine Version: 1.1.35 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: critical Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: ajsb(a)vfemail.net I was using Wine 1.1.34 and Modern Warfare 2 was working very well, sound, graphics, gameplay, mouse,etc. I then decided to upgrade my motherboard to let me OC my CPU to achieve more frame rates when playing multiplayer and decided to reinstall everything from fresh.... I noticed that wine was updated to 1.1.35 and installed it... After install game, when i lunched it i noticed right away that the mouse cursor format didn't changed like used to do with 1.1.34....and then i noticed the mouse could work to select the game options ! I can move around the mouse cursor but when trying to click in any of the game settings options nothing happens !!! I can however use the keyboard to select the options.... So, i decided to start a singleplayer game....the mouse cursor doesn't hide and i can't use the mouse to move my point of view like i sed to do in 1.1.35 !!! I formatted again HD, installed XUBUNTU again and followed instructions for git in your link (included all deps, compiled everything and all)....but before i continue the tests with MW2 and regressions, i'm stuck with a detail....how can i use winetricks with wine if in the instructions of the link it says that i can't do "make install" ? winetricks can't find wine... What is the correct command line to use winetricks in this situation of this kind of tests ? I'm using 32 bit Fedora 12 with GNOME. Hmmm... looks pretty similar to bug 21092, which is already bisected. If this is the same problem you will know if you do: 1. install wine from your distro 2. use needed winetricks (if any) 3. Prepare your build environment (see wine's wiki) 4. git checkout c24e48d937cfd0000a22af555a920ea7fab71d7b 5. compile and test the game --problem should persist 6.
