[Bug 11021] New: Unable to launch Universal Combat
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11021 Summary: Unable to launch Universal Combat Product: Wine Version: 0.9.52. Platform: Other URL: http://www.worthdownloading.com/download.php?gid=490&id= 13639 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: wine-directx-d3d AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: wine(a)temporaryforwarding.com CC: wine(a)temporaryforwarding.com Created an attachment (id=10017) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=10017) Error messages from wine I downloaded and installed Universal Combat from the given url. After I first launched the game it claimed that d3dx9_25.dll could not be found. So I downloaded it from this url: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx9_25 I moved it to: ~/.wine/drive_c/Programme/3000AD/Universal Combat/ I launch the game with this command: cd ~/.wine/drive_c/Programme/3000AD/Universal\ Combat env WINEDEBUG=fixme-all WINEPREFIX="~/.wine" wine "C:\Programme\3000AD\Universal Combat\uc.exe" The game has to be launched from the install directory because otherwise it claims the the config files can not be found. After executing the command sometimes a black game window appears without changing and sometimes it does not. But the error messages from wine are always the same and can be found in the attachment. Can someone confirm this bug or present a fix? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
