There is a lot of d3dx:ID3DXEffect stub spam but no crash or rather 'assert()' what 'int 3' suggests. There is a problem with client download in torrent mode which seems to plague all World of WarFooBar games. But that's a different issue which has not been reported here for whatever reasons. Just because the ticket says "World of Warships crashes on startup" (bad title -> no app versions mentioned) it doesn't mean it's your problem with client version 0.7.9.1. This ticket refers to a very old Wine version and old Warships client.
