http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26687 Summary: Heroes of Might and Magic III hangs completely from time to time Product: Wine Version: 1.2.2 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: m.goleb+winehq.org(a)gmail.com I use gog.com version of Heroes of Might and Magic III Complete: http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/heroes_of_might_and_magic_3_complete_edition under Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick) x64 with kernel 2.6.35 and wine from ubuntu-wine PPA: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-wine/+archive/ppa Current wine version from there is 1.2.2-1ubuntu1~maverick2. I use ALSA. Each 20-60 minutes (it varies a lot) during the single player game the game hangs completely and I have to manually kill the process. I've experienced the same problem on Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid) x64 with kernel 2.6.32 and wine 1.0.1 (or sth like that). I might try to run it from a console and try to get error messages.
