[Bug 40250] New: Stunt GP too fast timer for stunts, waterfall/screen animation and starting screens
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40250 Bug ID: 40250 Summary: Stunt GP too fast timer for stunts, waterfall/screen animation and starting screens Product: Wine Version: 1.9.4 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: trivial Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: 10mkudela(a)gmail.com Distribution: --- In the game time frame required to press Shift key to make stunt is much smaller then in Windows. Also waterfall animation and loading screens are much faster then in Windows. Everything else is at the same speed. One additional animation is faster as well: speed of the text on screen in Germany location is faster as well, but it's speed is changing from what I have noticed. There is probably a timer somewhere that is ticking faster then it should be, and that is used by all those elements. This bug was tested on 1.9.4 version of Wine, but it is also present on older versions. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. I don't see anything wrong with the game menu speeds. But there was a waterfall at the map and its definitely too fast. Loaded the demo from here http://www.jonneweb.net/pelit/dl_start.php?f=106&m=4 This could be a dupe of bug 28520. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40250 --- Comment #3 from Bruno Jesus <00cpxxx(a)gmail.com> --- Where is the waterfall in the demo? I played both levels and could not find any. Also I don't feel any difference from Windows in the stunt timer when using shift. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40250 --- Comment #4 from winetest(a)luukku.com --- I accidentally found the waterfall. It's on the right side of the track. I started the game all default. To be more specific I need to retest. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40250 --- Comment #5 from winetest(a)luukku.com --- Ok found it. You need to make 2 jumps. After the flag that looks lke japanese you look at right and you should see waterfal. That's the only issue I see with this game. Everything else seems to work correctly. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Thanks, the waterfall is the same as in Windows for me. In this video its possible to see the waterfall at 1:35, do you think its faster for you? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDVi1I-yDDQ -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40250 --- Comment #8 from winetest(a)luukku.com --- It feels/looks faster. The waterfall has fast speed from top to bottom. It doesnt slow down or speed up at anypoint. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40250 skrzynka(a)halamix2.pl changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |skrzynka(a)halamix2.pl --- Comment #9 from skrzynka(a)halamix2.pl --- This might be a game issue: On Windows the game forces full-screen and v-sync on; and it assumes the v-sync rate is 60Hz. The game is also unplayable on Windows on 144Hz screens due to some things being FPS-bound, like time window to start stunt is 0.42 of the original time (60/144). There is also option in config.exe to "disable framerate correction", which turned on just assumes stable 60FPS and uses fixed delta for everything -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
