Installed on Fedora 18 x86_64, with "WINEARCH=win32 winecfg" The disk has like many Gigs free. The mentioned DoEnvironmentSubstW function is implemented since 1.5.19. Are you sure your wine version is 1.5.20? The mentioned DoEnvironmentSubstW function is implemented since 1.5.19.
I can confirm there is a problem using the installer but it's not the same as you are seeing.

Still an issue wine 1.9

Same here. Tested both installers. This is most likely fixed then @ Reporter of bug: If you still run into trouble with the installer, feel free to reopen this bug.
