[Bug 16176] New: err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection on "Sacred 2: Fallen Angel" startup
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16176 Summary: err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection on "Sacred 2: Fallen Angel" startup Product: Wine Version: 1.1.9 Platform: Other OS/Version: other Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: blocker Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: daniel.spies(a)fuceekay.com Created an attachment (id=17417) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=17417) Crashlog for Sacred 2 Fallen Angel with wine 1.1.9 Used system: Kubuntu 8.10 64bit on AMD Ati hd 2600 xt with fglrx from Ubuntu repositories. Sacred 2 Fallen Angel crashes on the intro movies. I never got behind the point of seeing the "tested on dell" screen. The last line I see is always the "err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x7e451800 "d3d9_main.c: d3d9_cs" wait timed out in thread 003e, blocked by 002d, retrying (60 sec)" output. More crash log attached. It seems this is somehow related to 64 bit and/or ATI. Another guy using Nvidia doesn't face these problems. Can I provide any other useful information? Please ask. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16176 --- Comment #2 from Daniel <daniel.spies(a)fuceekay.com> 2008-11-24 07:38:12 --- The driver is a ATI Catalyst 8.10 Beta version, as X.org 7.4 is not officially supported by ATI. Read http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=canonical_catalyst_811&nu... for more information. There is not other way to use Kubuntu 8.10 with ATI card at the moment (8.11 still doesn't support X.org 7.4). I I enable fbo I get a different output, but only a black screen (no crash to desktop any more). Please see the attachment for the crashlog. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
