I've been testing the XP version of 3D Pinball Space Cadet with my dual-boot Ubuntu and Windows XP setup. The game can be found on the XP drive in: C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Pinball\pinball.exe The pinball.exe is opened with Wine to run the game outside of Windows. During gameplay, I sometimes find that the ball falls "through" a flipper, usually when I activate the flipper to hit the ball. This is NOT the same as the ball falling down between the flippers. Having tested this game under Windows XP, I've not had the same problem. To reproduce this, open the pinball.exe file using Wine and play the game for about 15 minutes or so and you will SOMETIMES find that the ball falls THROUGH one of the flippers, normally when you press the key to activate the flipper (default is <Z> key for the left flipper and the </> for the right flipper). I've also noticed the ball can move sharply to the right or left when hit by a flipper instead of going up. The ball is most likely to "fall" through a flipper when it's falling down from the top very fast. I don't know if this is a bug in Wine, the game itself or both. I hope others can test this for long enough in Wine and under Windows to find out what's happening. It's a problem that affects gameplay.
