So, I think we can close this bug as FIXED.
Well, we don't know that the demo had the same problem... Besides, it doesn't install for me in 1.3.7. I can also get into the game, choose characters and walk around in the main game. I haven't tested the game in great detail and just started it but I am quite impressed.
