[Bug 31097] New: wine apps crash when using opengl
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31097 Bug #: 31097 Summary: wine apps crash when using opengl Product: Wine Version: 1.5.7 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: opengl AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: info(a)leon.vankammen.eu Classification: Unclassified It seems that the latest 1.5.7 wine-package doesnt like libgl/dri-driver 8.x.x (win32 apps crash in wine as soon as opengl is called)..however if you install libgl/dri-driver 7.x.x everything works. more info about configuration etc: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/30501 As stated, I got it working with older libgl/dri-driver libs now but I will try to generate some more debugging info. The friendly guys @ archlinux pointed out the 'LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose wine foo.exe' trick, any other suggestions? btw. pretty neato bugtracker with the possible duplicates-checker :) -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31097 --- Comment #1 from Henri Verbeet <hverbeet(a)gmail.com> 2012-07-02 05:06:38 CDT --- There isn't a lot of detail in this bug report, but my first guess would be that this is some variant of http://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=12151. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31097 --- Comment #2 from sqz <info(a)leon.vankammen.eu> 2012-07-02 10:02:15 CDT --- I can confirm that in both situations I used the newest llvm, so thats highly possible. $ llc --version LLVM (http://llvm.org/): LLVM version 3.1 Optimized build. Built May 23 2012 (19:05:47). Default target: x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu Host CPU: k8-sse3 I also did a quick google on 'opengl llvm archlinux' and found a similar case: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/27645 I would say lets leave at this. Since I (and the guy from the last link) already provided a 'workaround' in the url stated above for archlinux users. People from other distros: please follow the previous link mentioned by Henri Verbeet! thnx Henri -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
