I even get this error a few weeks ago, when I was using Wine 1.6 and you told me I've to use an newer version. I tried 2.0-rc3 and 1.9.19 but it's still the same error when I want to start Age of Empires 2. Because that I'm now using PlayOnLinux, but that installs your Wine.
