Your wine version is 2-3 years old and no longed receives updates.
You need to upgrade.
Thank you for your quick reply. unfortunately I am unable to find any kind of updated Wine. Every attempt fails with: W: Failed to fetch https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/ubuntu/dists/wily/main/binary-amd64/Packag... HttpError404 W: Failed to fetch https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/ubuntu/dists/wily/main/binary-i386/Package... HttpError404 I have tried to click on these links and get: The requested URL /wine-builds/ubuntu/dists/wily/main/binary-i386/Packages was not found on this server. Any suggestions? I can confirm the bug. You can try `` winetricks wininet`` to work around the crash for now.

If you`re on Ubuntu i think you can do ``sudo apt-get install winetricks`` Alternatively you can save this file https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Winetricks/winetricks/master/src/winetrick... and make it executable: chmod +x winetricks and run ``winetricks wininet`` See https://wiki.winehq.org/Winetricks -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Also I would recommend doing this chmod +x winetricks sudo cp winetricks /usr/local/bin and rm winetricks from downloaded directory.
