[Bug 11160] New: regression: PAF 5 installer hangs in menu builder

Several processes are left behind, the last two being menu builder processes. Most processes show a wchan of pipe_wait. This is the first time this symptom (or anything similar) has been seen. Yes, I did remove the old prefix area before starting the installation. In fact, I did two separate installations yesterday and three times today, starting with removing the old prefix area. Yes, I made sure to click the last "Finish" or "OK" button at the end of installation, each of the five times. One other thing I had forgotten to write down in the initial report. On some installations, after I click the last button, the IKernel.exe and wineserver processes go CPU bound for about a minute (on a 2.4GHz Pentium 4 "A" (Northwood, if I'm informed correctly)).
