http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9304 --- Comment #2 from Piotr <riklaunim(a)gmail.com> 2007-08-13 16:18:12 --- I must have some leftover dlls or there was something with my gecko html install (manual some time ago). The "html page" has two butons - one is "buy game", second "play demo" - I click but they don't work.
Yeah, that's exactly the bug i get too. I'll change the title of bug a bit to reflect the bug better (BTW lots of demo's can not be started because of these of kinds of bugs in the initial start up window (Buy or Try). I always use the work-around to install ies4linux (please don't shoot me) and run the app by WINEPREFIX=~/.ies4linux/ie6 wine toee.exe. This way this demo starts just fine again for me . It's quite a pity to have to do this, and i won't recommend this to anyone (ies4linux sets lots of dlls to native), but at least you'll be able to test the rest of the game) -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9304 --- Comment #14 from CN Gnome <cngnome(a)gmail.com> 2009-04-17 16:16:22 --- Created an attachment (id=20514) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=20514) Crash log from original (not demo) Out of curiosity, I dug out the original program from my lair and it crashed too, althought at very different place, e.g. fixme:ntdll:server_ioctl_file Unsupported ioctl 2d1400 (device=2d access=0 func=500 method=0) wine: Unhandled page fault on write access to 0x00650168 at address 0x7ee94a73 (thread 001d), starting debugger... Please look at this attachement. Nevertheless, this confirms the fact that the errors from this original bug are not from the actual program, but from the demo. Demo has this gecko-related startup screen, that lets you to proceed to ToEE and that does not respond and running the game has nothing to do with that. So I suspect the component in this demo bug case should be gecko and not ToEE. And that ToEE would need to have it's own bug, unrelated to this case. Searching the wine base shows that this error in original could be related to securom and not ToEE. In fact, ToEE could be running just fine (althought the base release is so buggy that I doubt it so you would need to apply all community fixes to it too). -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
