[Bug 59246] New: Wine 11 displays blank screen when using OpenGL option in Sierrachart
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59246 Bug ID: 59246 Summary: Wine 11 displays blank screen when using OpenGL option in Sierrachart Product: Wine Version: unspecified Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@list.winehq.org Reporter: rtgriggs@gmail.com Distribution: --- Created attachment 80159 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=80159 test chart with sierrachart When using Wine 11 with Sierrachart and opening any chart with OpenGL enabled, the screen is blank. Wine 10 worked without any OpenGL issues. A workaround is to turn OpenGL off in Sierrachat, restart Sierrachart and graphics work. www.sierrachart.com -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59246 --- Comment #1 from Robert Griggs <rtgriggs@gmail.com> --- From SC support @ertrader: Wine 11 uses the EGL backend by default for OpenGL, which may be incompatible with some older hardware. I was able to get OpenGL to to work with an older Nvidia card by forcing the GLX backend: Open the registry editor (on the terminal): wine regedit Go to the following Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\X11 Driver Add a string value: UseEGL Set it to: N And then start Sierra Chart, and you should be able to see the chart while using OpenGL, just like they worked in previous versions of Wine. ---------------------------- This workaround worked. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
