[Bug 30757] New: Dota 2 won't render with d3d9ex
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30757 Bug #: 30757 Summary: Dota 2 won't render with d3d9ex Product: Wine Version: 1.5.4 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: kelytharun(a)gmail.com Classification: Unclassified As title says, if Dota 2 is run with the d3d9ex rendering engine, the game simply won't render at all. Of course an easy workaround exists, with the -nod3d9ex switch the game can be forced to use a different renderer that works fine under Wine. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Does the "trivial" status means that there is no need for any further information, like debug messages in order to get the bug fixed?
No, just that there is an easy workaround. Terminal output would help, though I suspect the problem will need to be diagnosed locally by someone familiar with d3d. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

If your assumption was correct, the problem ought to be fixed in Wine 1.5.8. Please retest. I have had the same problem with Counter-Strike:Source on Steam. That was indeed fixed by commit 256d43316418a346978834a41b52c4f99456bb3b. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
