I was able to get it into deadlock.
wine 1.9.12-git.

I would say this is fixed. Fresh wineprefix, wine 2.1. Tried the mp3 linked here earlier. But I had odd focus issues. 1st mouse went invisble when I tried to use the program, solved this by reruning the program. Then when I opened the mp3 file, mouse pointer drawgged the program not releasing the interface. Really odd.
