I think this was supposed to be fixed, does this still happen with a clean installation? Sadly while I'm back home for Christmas I'm on a very slow line and re-downloading the game will take a long time. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

It seems that the game installs fine when the Steam directory is on the C: but not when on the Z:. I don't know if this is a Wine bug or a Steam bug.

What filesystems do you use for each of your partitions? ext3 for all of them. The path when Steam was on the Z: was pretty long (Z:/mnt/sda4/installs/d_drive/Program\ Files/Valve/Steam/) which may or not be causing more problems.

However, without POL (without a wine prefix), the game ran and passed the install error. I am not sure if it is Play On Linux or using wine prefixes.
