However, I found the full 6.01 version here: http://vetusware.com/download/Derive%206.1%20Math%20Software%206.1/?id=11729 I did not test it myself, but in case this one doesn't suffer from the same bug under wine or doesn't work, I can always send you the main executable of my version somehow. It's enough to run derive. Please tell me if you need it. PS: How to do an +ole,+tid trace? I'm new to wine. You'll need to use WINEDEBUG=+ole,+tid,+menu wine <programname>.exe. Then redirect output to a file as described, and attach a file here. I think I figured out what's going on with it. Program adds menu item with placeholder string "<<OLE VERBS GO HERE>>", and replaces it using OleUIAddVerbMenuW(NULL, NULL, ...) to get default localized "Object" entry. What happens is that we add new item over and over again, instead of replacing existing one. Application doesn't expect that, and loops adding more and more items to the menu, that makes it appear hung consuming 100% of single core.
