[Bug 17546] New: Microsoft Word 2000 crash on pressing TAB key in a table cell

Microsoft Word from Office 2000 becomes unresponsive after pressing the TAB key when the cursor is in a table cell. The application remains on the screen, and Wine processes are left running. As far as I know the first time this occured was last Tuesday on a Ubuntu 8.04 system using the Wine repositories for Ubuntu 8.04 "Hardy Heron". This bug can be reproduced. For more backtraces, debugging wine etc, ready to help, but please instruct. I discovered that this crash only occured when the WordFast.dot (http://www.wordfast.net/index.php?whichpage=downloadpage&VLTM=VLTM&platform=...) template/add-in was active in Word. Disabling it prevented such crashes. Anyway. First how do I install the debugging symbols under Kubuntu (there is no wine-dbg package)? Ok, this is no longer this urgent. I discovered that this crash only occured when the WordFast.dot (http://www.wordfast.net/index.php?whichpage=downloadpage&VLTM=VLTM&platform=...) template/add-in was active in Word. Disabling it prevented such crashes.
Anyway. First how do I install the debugging symbols under Kubuntu (there is no wine-dbg package)? Secondly, should I then run "WINEDEBUG=+richedit wine WINWORD.EXE" ?
Is this still an issue in current (1.1.29 or newer) wine? If so, try wine-dev. Otherwise, compile from source.
