It seems that installing spanish language as an allowed one has "shaken" something that makes it work in catalan... I don't know what has changed as I opened this bug because it didn't work... But changing to english, adding spanish and the changing back to catalan has changed something as I can "create" accented chars in catalan. I don't know what has changed in config, but thanks for your time anyway.
