Currently there's no way to verify a digital signature of Windows applications
(EXE and MSI) that you download from the Internet.

That would be great to have a way to see if the file is indeed digitally signed
(so there's a lesser chance that it's malware).

I'm talking about something akin to SignTool.exe by Microsoft:

The Sign Tool is a command-line tool that digitally signs files, verifies
signatures in files, or time stamps files.
