Could you please try with another window manager? That's very odd, I launched D3 exactly how you specified and my mouse is still exactly where it was when I started the application. Both games are running in fullscreen mode with 1680x1050 (like my desktop). I have tested this now with Windows XP and Windows 7 but there is no difference. After this I have enabled the virtual desktop and the bug doesn't appear anymore. Are you maybe using a virtual desktop? If yes try to reproduce the bug without it.
No, I'm using the game in traditional full-screen mode.
