EMS products stopped working after Wine 1.3.20. I keep getting the stack trace on the attached file. If not, a change somewhere else has probably made the program start to use this function when it hadn't before, and the correct fix is to implement that function. Well, the fresh install got rid of the winspool error, but still gave me the crash line of the stack trace attached. The bug started on 1.3.22 and on from what I was testing on previous versions. I will do the bisect later on and post it. Sorry for the late reply, but I have been busy with a project, and I happen to use this software too much I ended up going back on wine while I had it finished. (In reply to comment #2)
Do the working versions print the message about winspool.drv.DEVICECAPABILITIES? If not, a change somewhere else has probably made the program start to use this function when it hadn't before, and the correct fix is to implement that function.
Otherwise, a bisect would help.

What you get is this: err:seh:setup_exception_record stack overflow 2280 bytes in thread 0009 eip 7bc3d2ff esp 00230a48 stack 0x230000-0x231000-0x330000 But his might be a result of the unimplemented function. If you still get it, try this: Open a random wine program (winecfg will work fine) in a different terminal window and keep it running. This is reported as working again in version 1.3.27 on Sep 01 2011 in the AppDB.
Retested with the 30-day trial version and can confirm both the regression and that it is working with current Wine (wine-1.3.29-245-g895b48e) on Ubuntu 10.10 32bit.
