[Bug 47353] New: Black Desert Online - unhandled page fault, stack overflow
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47353 Bug ID: 47353 Summary: Black Desert Online - unhandled page fault, stack overflow Product: Wine Version: 4.10 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: lemmi59612(a)gmail.com Distribution: --- Created attachment 64687 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=64687 Wine log After logging in and clicking "Play", the Launcher closes (as normal), but the Xigncode window does not show up. The following line appears in the log: 0088:err:seh:setup_exception stack overflow 1648 bytes in thread 0088 eip 000000007bcd53e4 esp 0000000000150fa0 stack 0x150000-0x151000-0x250000 After that, no further output follows, but neither the launcher nor game process actually die. They both stay open until killed via `wineserver -k`. There have been previous bug reports about BDO (with some still open), but this does not seem to be related. If you need any further information, I'll gladly report back. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. There are a few unrelated CEFv3 browser process crashes in the trace log prior to the final exception overflow (bug 44985). Maybe a full trace log will do: --- snip --- $ WINEDEBUG=+seh,+loaddll,+process,+relay wine ./Black\ Desert\ Online\ Launcher.exe >>log.txt 2>&1 --- snip --- compress if too large to attach. BTW is there a reason you're using Wine-Staging? Only use Wine-Staging in case you can't easily work around other (known) vanilla Wine bugs. It makes diagnosis harder to have gazillions patches on top. Sadly the game requires now to purchase a "starter pack" upon login. The tryout-for-free lasts only 7 days. I've spent these in 2018 for bug 23999, bug 24038, bug 44985 . Not going to pay any money just for debugging. Regards -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47353 --- Comment #2 from lemmi59612(a)gmail.com --- Created attachment 64688 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=64688 Full trace log (+seh,+loaddll,+process,+relay) Hi and thanks for looking into this! Here's the full trace log, this time with vanilla Wine 4.10. Beware, it grew huge (over 300 MB uncompressed). I issued `wineserver -k` about 10 seconds after clicking Play.

It should be noted that, although it does crash a few times, it will eventually show the entire launcher window, including the embedded Twitter feed. Only then it becomes possible to even log in. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
