When using GNOME, the problems disappear! Here's one way of reproducing the problem in Ubuntu version 11.04 (64-bit): Log into Ubuntu with Unity (the default) and open the game called "Ballistic" with Wine - download the game from here: http://www.classicdosgames.com/game/Ballistic.html Try playing that game with Wine; simply right-click within the game's window and use the left mouse button to release the ball. Watch how it doesn't work in Unity, now the next step... Logout of Ubuntu. At the bottom of the login screen, change the login session to "Ubuntu Classic (No effects)". Now play that game in Wine - it works properly without Unity.
