I was slightly puzzled myself, but here it is:

[phantom(a)cobra include]$ find|xargs grep __NR_set_thread_area
./bits/syscall.h:#define SYS_set_thread_area __NR_set_thread_area
[phantom(a)cobra include]$ cd /usr/src/wine-cvs/wine/library
[phantom(a)cobra library]$ grep syscall.h ldt.c
# include <sys/syscall.h>
[phantom(a)cobra library]$ grep syscall.h /usr/include/sys/syscall.h
   we scan the kernel's list and produce <bits/syscall.h> with macros for
# include <bits/syscall.h>
[phantom(a)cobra library]$
