Hopefully the bad change will be spotted this way. Also, related to the game, I miss information about the usage case. That is, do you use the D3D software renderer or D3D hardware renderer or the Glide wrapper? The latter one is my preferred aproach. For instructions how to use the Glide wrapper, have a look at http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=4101 (of course, not now but later.) Also, could you please come up with a clean Wine directory first? Tell me if you need more instructions on this. In any case I do urge you to regression test, if the problem persists. Additionally, I'd like to add that Wine 1.1.7 seems to work fine with NFS 4 for me. I just do experience glitches in user input, but graphics is working fine for me.
