www.iometer.org is not responding, so I tested iometer.exe, dynamo.exe 
2003.05.10 from http://dev.gentoo.org/~sejo/files/vmware/

It still has problems on Wine CVS

$ ./wine ~/Iometer.exe

iometer is open source, hosted on SourceForge, and there's a Linux version anyway.
